Common questions

I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

Email info@woodcutterdp.co.uk from the address on your account and we will reset it for you within one working day. A self-serve password reset flow is coming in a future update.

How do I get started?

After signing in, head to Settings first to fill in your business name, contact details, bank details for invoices, your day rate, and a default material uplift percentage. These all appear automatically on every quote you create.

Then add a client under Clients, and create your first quote from Quotes → New quote. To capture details on site, use the mobile app or the web Site Visits page.

How do I send a quote to a client?

From the quote view, click View client quote and then Print / Save PDF in your browser. Attach the PDF to your normal email when sending it to the client. Email-from-the-app is on the roadmap.

How do I take photos and measurements on site?

Open the mobile app, create a Site Visit for the customer, then add notes, measurements, and photos as you walk the job. Everything is timestamped and synced back to the desktop app. When you sit down to build the quote later, all of that information is at hand.

Where is my data stored? Is it backed up?

All data is stored on a private server in Germany (Hetzner). Backups run nightly with off-site copies retained for 30 days. See the privacy policy for full detail.

Can I export my data?

Yes — we will provide your data in a machine-readable format on request. Email info@woodcutterdp.co.uk and we will send it within 30 days. A self-serve export is on the roadmap.

I have a feature suggestion.

We would love to hear it. Email info@woodcutterdp.co.uk with the details and how it would help your workflow.
